Description:
A tender story about the purest form of love: family love.
Told from grandma's point of view, the book honors the simplest things of life a family can share. The story is a poetic rhythmical description of the natural world beautifully illustrated. Text and art embrace each other just as the protagonists do. Butterflies, flowers and lighty landscapes create a sense of peace and affection. Sunny fields, starry nights, the calm of the sea and the bluest or cloudest skies take the story and its protagonist through the cycles of life and seasons. Just as all elements in nature need each other to live, children need to be loved by their families.
Spending time together creates everlasting bonds that children will keep close in their hearts.

The endpapers... they add information in a very gentle way: the seasons will not be the same for the girl.
I loved the book! It is a wonderful bedtime story to help children remember the importance of small things.
It reminded me of the beautiful time my children and parents spent together, which they still recall with tenderness.
