Description:
Walking his dog around his neighbourhood at dusk, a boy gets a glimpse of the lives sorrounding him and the pleasure of getting home again.
I loved the story!! I do look through my window a lot and wonder what everyone coming and going thinks, where they live and how they feel, what their story is.
When I am walking in the street, I also like looking out windows that are open and wondering about the lives of the people there.
Every house is like a small world, so many realities...
The book is very simple but evokes deep feelings, houses and homes, neighbours and neighbourhoods.
You can start with some conversation about student's lives:
Do you like your place? Why?
How are the houses?
Have you lived there long? Have you lived in another place?
What do you like best?
How do you feel about your neighbouhood?
The story can be used to practice Present tenses, prepositions of place, adjectives to describe places and feelings, colors and emotions.
